Why I do this:
Getting leaner and meaner while all of my friends are getting slower and fatter on the golf course. My 20 year high school reunion last summer was a huge wake up call relating to the poor general fitness of my peers. Retirement will be upon me soon enough....I never want to look back and have regrets about wasted youth or wasted opportunities. Also, setting the athletic achievement bar for my children. Child obesity is a real problem in this country and I want to encourage outdoor activities and general fitness to my children and their friends.

When will I stop?
Much to my wife's chagrine, no time soon if I can help it. I like the competition, I like the bike technology (can anyone say carbon fibre P3?) and I enjoy the health benefits. Lord willing, I will swim, run and/or ride until I am 80!

Future goals
1) Kona - Everything else pales in comparison
2) sub 3 hour marathon. Would look pretty cool on a resume.

Other hobbies outside tri
Collecting Ford muscle cars:
1) 1972 Mercury Cougar XR7 Convertible...fully restored and a cool weeekend car
2) 1969 Ford Torino 428 big block Cobra Jet Detroit iron at it's finest!
3) 1965 Ford Galaxie 500 2dr Currently undergoing an "Overhaulin" style restoration. Extremely trick when done.
